Clara Doreen Acres

Born January 6, 1936, Clara passed away Friday, March 21, 2025, with daughter Bonnie by her side.

She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Kay Emke; husband Donald Acres; daughter Brenda Owens; stepdaughter Sharon Acres; four brothers, Arnold, Ewald, Walter and Harold; as well as sister Irma Grant.

Clara is survived by her daughter Bonnie Kosar (Dallas Reynolds); sons-in-law Jim Kessel & Ken Schneider; grandchildren, Jason Owens (Brandee), Jeff Owens (Sarah), Joshua Kosar (Shilo) and Brittney Firehammer (Alex); great grandchildren, Jhett and Maisa Owens, Cashton and Harper Owens, Jasper Kosar, and Amelia Firehammer; sisters Ruth Freiheit and Betty Kainz; as well as sister-in-law Shirley Emke.

In all she did, Clara lived out her Christianity through her volunteer work at the Allan Blair Cancer Centre for over 25 years and many volunteer hours at her Church. She was an avid golfer and spent many winters enjoying the Arizona Sun and the many friendships she developed while here

There will be great rejoicing in heaven as she is reunited with her late husband, Don, and her daughter, Brenda who will lovingly and joyfully welcome her home.

Her memory will live on through countless lives of many friends she touched and the love she shared with them. She loved the Saskatchewan Roughriders and had season tickets for over 40 years.

Funeral Service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 1037 Victoria Avenue, Regina on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Aaron Gust officiating. Interment to follow. Please feel free to wear your Rider gear to the funeral.
