Cloradell Watts, age 91, died on August 5, 2024, at her home in Chandler, Arizona. She died peacefully, surrounded by family. Cloradell is survived by her Sister, Dorothy; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; her grandchildren Danielle, Brennen, Amanda, and Hannah; and her great grandchildren. She joins her husband of 55 years, Robert (Bob) Joseph and their son, Robert Michael in Heaven.
Cloradell was born on September, 15th, 1932 in Elkton, Virginia, to parents Edna Pearl Hawkins & James Russel Dofflemyer. She grew up with her brother and 2 sisters. Cloradell remained incredibly close to both of her sisters her whole life.
Cloradell met her beloved husband, Bob, when they were teenagers on a group date. She married Bob at 22 years old in 1954. They welcomed their son, Robbie, to the world in 1956. They became the famous Watts trio, always inseparable. Her boys were the true loves of her life. They moved all over the world together: Florida, Nevada, Thailand, California, and Arizona to name a few. Bob and Cloradell finally settled near Robbie and his family in Chandler, Arizona where Cloradell lived in their beautiful home for nearly 35 years.
Cloradell was a strong, brave, loving woman. She was the matriarch of the Watts family and always set a great example for all of us. She was a devoted and caring wife, an incredible mother, and an inspirational Grandmom. She was a true friend to so many, especially her terrific neighbors. Cloradell fiercely loved all things in her life, human and feline alike. She was the most committed cat mom to her own cats and all the cats without homes in her neighborhood. She was a fabulous storyteller, always carrying out fascinating conversations. She was an avid walker and was as independent as they come. You could always count on Cloradell to also be the best dressed at any event. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. She will be truly missed.
A funeral is scheduled for Saturday, August 24, at Valley of the Sun Mortuary. The service begins at 11am. Following the service, we will proceed to the Valley of the Sun Cemetery plot where Cloradell has a bench for both her and Bob. They will be interred together in the bench that rests at their son’s feet. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cloradell’s life.
