Dan was an avid fisherman, hunter and golfer, he enjoyed to play card games, and he was a big sports fan especially wrestling and football. He also enjoyed music and as a young boy he played accordion. Dan loved to spend time with his grandchildren to play games, he adored them. Dan built the quite extensive train model for grandchildren to enjoy. It was a big happiness for him to watch the children to admire the moving trains that Grandpa made for them.

My fondest memory of Dan's kindness was allowing myself, Bill, Joe and our dog(Katie) to move in with him in 1992.Our home in Cicero had sold before the new one in Plainfield was finished. We stayed with Dan for almost 3 months. It was very generous of him to open his home to us and I will always be gratedful.

You will never be forgotten Dan.

Dan:
The memories of you will be with us for the rest of our lives. George and I had plans for the future for all four of us….
Some exciting trips, card games, and dinner dances, mushroom hunting etc. It all changed and we are three now!
We will continue to set our holiday table for four - as we did it before. I am sure you are now in better place, no more pain and suffering. We are very happy that we had known you.
Rest in Peace - dear Brother-in-Law!

We grew our friendship over 55 years, and our times together were all good. Dan was with me when we took my son, Joe, hunting for his first time. We were together for Dan's last fishing trip to Canada, netting each other's fish and swapping old stories over drinks after dinner. With millions of additional memories to cherish, Dan will always stay in my heart. He'll never be forgotten by any of his many friends, who share our grief with Dan's family now.

God must have a fishing boat for Dan's use now, and I'm sure the fishing is great!

Uncle Dan. You brought joy to the life of my aunt and Godmother (Krsna). It was the first time in a very long time that, when I saw her with you, I could sense she was truly happy. Your presence, love and support allowed her to break the chains from the past, put it in its place and lead a fulfilled life together. Your gift of love to her will go on in her memories, forever.

The Lord only puts us on this earth for a short time. After the time has passed us by, we are only left with memories. My memories of you are only fond ones. You are a good man and will be missed. Rest in Peace Uncle Dan.

With Love,

Andy, Linda, Andy Jr. and Amanda Sodoma
