Darla Gay Nowlin Andrus

Darla Nowlin Andrus was born December 17th, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas to two adoring parents, Ed and Gay, and an older brother, Mike. She moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico when she was 2 and grew up near the Sandia Mountains. Darla always loved the beauty of nature, mountains, deserts, forests, oceans, and would enjoy camping and visiting national parks whenever she could. She also enjoyed the historic sites, art, and culture of native americans. She made many road trips around the country with her family. Darla married Dave Andrus on May 16, 1987 and moved to Denver, Co. They also lived a couple of years in Apple Valley, CA. Darla was widely loved by her in-laws and friends in Denver and always there to help a family member or friend in any way she could. She enjoyed the mountains and winter snows living in Colorado and loved her pets. Darla also spent periods of time in Chandler Arizona staying with her parents and helping care for them as well as visiting her nephews, and sister-in-law Lisa. Darla passed away on December 18th, 2010 in Chandler, AZ with her parents, brother, and husband at her bedside. Darla touched many people's lives and she will be greatly missed.
