Mel was born May 8th, 1938 in Nampa, ID. He served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 years and retired as a MSGT. His time serving his country allowed him and his family to travel the world and see many different places.
While serving in the Air Force, Mel met his wife Maureen while he was on an assignment in England 1957 and fell in love, they were married in 1959. They had three beautiful daughters; Juanita, Mylea, and Daryl. His assignments in the Air Force allowed his family to visit many different states and countries. Not only did Mel love his country but he loved his girls, The Elks, gambling, golfing, fishing, hunting, and being with his family and friends. He had the biggest heart and always wanted his family to know how much he loved and cared for them. He was a kind and fun spirited person, who always could tell stories and share life lessons of things he experienced throughout his life. He was always known for loving his bottle of scotch! What he leaves behind for his children are a lifetime full of memories, lessons, letters and cards, endless messages, and the understanding that unconditional love is so precious and will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his wife Maureen, his three daughters , Juanita Feldman, Barney Feldman, Mylea Fragale , John Fragale and Daryl Waterman. His grandchildren; Chris, Michael, Jason, Justine, Jordan, Kyrstin, Dalton, and Taylor.
The great-grandchildren; Natalie, Michael, Tanner, Talon, Cole, Rhett, Abraham, and Jackson.
His siblings; Claire Crawford, Delbert Crawford, Marvin Crawford, and Theresa England.
Darrell Melvin Crawford is preceded in death by his parents Wesley Wilbur Crawford, Winnona Martin, Barbara Sawyer, Jack Martin, stepfather Joe Martin, and son-in-law Paul Daniel Waterman.
