David Arden Krogstad

David served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969. Stationed in Türkiye, he carried out his duties with steady commitment and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

In his professional life, David was known for the same diligence and reliability that marked every part of his days. He worked as Vice President of Transportation for Citizens Auto Stage and later retired as Director of Transportation with Flowing Wells Schools in Tucson, Arizona—roles that reflected a lifetime of hard work, responsibility, and care for the people and communities he served.

On June 28, 1991, David married Margaret “Margie” Krogstad. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and brothers and sisters.

David’s life was enriched by music and the simple pleasures that bring people together. He loved playing country music, led his own band for more than 30 years, and performed throughout the Tucson area. He also enjoyed golf, and he loved reading—sharing that love of books with students in a way that spoke to his generous spirit and kind heart. In the kitchen, David was equally memorable: he kept a secret recipe for salsa, and, honoring his Norwegian ancestry, he especially enjoyed making lefse with family and friends.

David lived in Sun Lakes, Arizona. He will be remembered with respect and gratitude—as a devoted husband, a hardworking professional, and a kind-hearted presence whose steady goodness was felt by many.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's memory may be made to Hospice of the Valley of Arizona. Services for David are still pending at this time.
