

Dick Walker passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on July 2, 2025, at his home in Sun Lakes, Arizona. He was born March 19, 1931, to Cecil and Beulah Walker in Beech Grove, Indiana. He married his loving wife, Judy, on June 23, 1956, in Indianapolis and recently celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Alaska for over 2 years. He is survived by his wife Judy, and their 4 children, Rick (Linda), Dan (Angie), Patty (Bob)Brewer, and Steve (Laura). He enjoyed 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren who all filled his life with love.
He owned Alwinco Window Company in Indianapolis. He and Judy relocated to Arizona in 1984, and they eventually established Dick Walker Painting in Phoenix until their retirement in 2001.
Dick and Judy then explored our beautiful country visiting the 48 contiguous states plus Alaska in their RV, and they celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in Hawaii in 2006 with their entire family. He enjoyed being a member of the Arizona Rough Riders Jeep Club. He was also a member of St. Steven’s Catholic Church in Sun Lakes.
A celebration of life will be held at The Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 East Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ 85248 on Sunday July 27, 2025, from 5 pm to 8 pm. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Steven’s Catholic Church, 24827 South Dobson Road, Sun Lakes, AZ 85248 on Monday July 28, 2025, at 10 am with the Rosary at 9:30 am.
Dick will be remembered as a friend to all who knew him.
