He was born to parents Frank and Mary Krisha, on June 11, 1941, in Vallejo, California. He started his career at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo as a nuclear inspector for naval nuclear submarines. Eventually he landed a job at Bechtel Power Corporation, an engineering/construction company, and supported many nuclear power contracts for over 30 years before retiring in 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He married Patricia, the love of his life, in 1965, who survives him. Donald is also survived by his two daughters Christine Crawford and husband Chris and Caroline Pollard and husband Jeff, as well as three grandchildren Alyson Crawford, Abby Pollard and Ryan Pollard.
Donald was an avid 49er football fan. He enjoyed target practice at the shooting range, the Elks Lodge, walking the dog, DIY projects around the home, BBQing meat and entertaining friends and family at home. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Donald’s celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, February 1st, at 1pm for visitation and 2pm for the service at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery at 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ 85248. The family insists that people make donations in support of Alzheimer’s dementia research or Hospice of the Valley @ https://hov.org , in lieu of sending flowers.
