Donald Ray Revis

Pastor Roger Funk will lead services on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Landing Place Church, 11555 Chambers Rd., Brighton, CO 80603.

Donnie was born on April 30, 1940 in Dayton, Tennessee, the son of the late Carl Revis and Alice Bishop. His stepmother, Ruby Revis married Carl when Donnie was very young and together they raised a wonderful, handsome loving man. He moved from Tennessee to Colorado at the age of 18. There he met his wife, Bonnie Revis and married on April 6, 1962 in Westminster, Colorado. They recently celebrated 61 years of a beautiful marriage.

Donnie started his career at Civil Service in Denver, Colorado. He accepted a position at McKesson liquor for several years. In 1999, he retired from Coors Brewing Company in Golden, Colorado after 20 years of dedicated service. Donnie and Bonnie moved to Chandler, Arizona in 2000 to enjoy their retired life in the Sunbird Community with family and friends.

Donnie played music by ear and learned to play the guitar at a very young age. Country music was his greatest joy as he was inspired by Johnny Cash. He learned to play the fiddle and harmonica. His greatest passion was singing with his wife, Bonnie as she played the piano. He enjoyed camping in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, fishing for trout and catfish. Donnie loved vegetable gardening and he took pride in having the most beautiful rose garden. His greatest love in life was spending time surrounded by family in the great outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Revis, daughter Sherri Revis (Kenny Jackson), daughter Shelly Lucero (Frank Lucero).

Grandchildren include Steven Clark (Brianna Clark), Brittani Olson (Derek Olson), Chelsea Kossen (TJ Kossen) and Brandon Jackson. Great grandchildren include Cameron Olson, Caleb Olson, Jackson Clark, Brody Kossen, Blake Clark, Christopher Olson, and Reagan Clark.

Donnie was preceded in death by Brother Felix Sr., Sister Carlene, Nephew Felix Jr., and Niece Debbie Bolton. Surviving siblings include Finley, Martha, Menda, Sandra, Sue, Darlene and Randy Revis. Surviving Niece Lianne Coots and Nephews Wayne and Tim Revis.

Other loving family includes the Wilsons, the O'Trimbles, the Coots, the Jacksons and the Bishop families. Special thanks to all family and friends who cared for and supported Donnie in his last days.

Cremation will be at Valley of the Sun in Chandler, AZ. There will be a celebration of life for our beloved husband, Dad and Grandpa Donnie on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Landing Place Church, 11555 Chambers Rd., Brighton, CO 80603.
