

91, of Sun Lakes Arizona passed away February 1, 2012. She was born in Middletown, Connecticut on May 28, 1920, the daughter of Edwin and Mabel Erickson. Her early years were spent in Brooklyn New York. Vivian attended the Springfield Massachusetts Hospital School of Nursing where she received a registered nurse certificate. After graduation she entered the Navy during World War II serving as a nurse at the Pawtuxet River Naval Air Station. On April 1, 1945 she married William "Bill" Kingsley. For the next 45 years she and Bill raised a family in Denver Colorado where she worked as a registered nurse for the Denver Public Schools. After retirement she relocated to Arizona where for the next 20 years she and Bill traveled to almost every continent. She had a passion for painting, reading, hiking, travel and her family. She is survived by her husband William, her children William "Pete", Richard, Susan, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, Arizona.
