Duncan Mac Phail, 89 of Sun Lakes Arizona passed away on January 5, 2011. He formerly resided in Kearny, New Jersey where he served as a police officer for 25 years. He retired in 1973 to Sun Lakes, Arizona. Duncan was one of the founding fathers of Sun Lakes Fire and EMS. He dedicated his life to the service of others. Duncan lived his Methodist life in service to the Lord. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Mac Phail, son Malcom Mac Phail and granddaughter Alexandra Mac Phail. He is survived by his son, Scott (Debra) Mac Phail , sisters, Murial Zack and Jean Durkin, grandsons Joshua and Justin Welsh, granddaughters, Jessica Watt, Kelly Valentine and Mary Beth Briggle. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 10, 2011 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10948 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, Arizona.
