Throughout her life, she was known as Vira and most importantly Nonnie by her grandkids. She was a homemaker and the heart of the family. She devoted her life to caring, supporting, and being a sounding-board to her husband, children, and grandchildren in all their endeavors and life’s challenges. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her heart and she traveled the country to their sporting events and was their biggest cheerleader. She earned the nickname “Nurse Nonnie” from her grandchildren, who called her for all their injuries, illnesses and for hugs. Her Italian cooking was renowned by all who ate at her table. Everyone was welcome and never left without a kind word and a full belly.
