Eva J. Jones

Eva was born in Junction City, Oregon on March 1, 1924. Eva graduated from Elmira High School in 1943. While a student in high school she participated in the Civil Air Patrol. After graduation until her marriage, she worked as a live-in nanny and housekeeper in Eugene, Oregon.

She was married to Marvin S. Jones, Jr. on October 7, 1951. Marvin died in November 1991. They were married for 40 years.

Eva was a full time homemaker. She loved gardening, sewing, making quilts, reading and helping raise grandchildren as they arrived. She was also active in the Disabled American Veterans organization throughout the 60’s and 70’s through the DAV Auxiliary Unit.

Eva was survived by 3 daughters, Paulett Baker of Peoria, Arizona, Yvetta Nicholas of Glendale, Arizona and Janett Jones of Phoenix, Arizona. She has 5 grandchildren and 10 great children.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 8, 2012, at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery.
