Born December 6, 1927 in Juniata County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry K. and Madeline
[Brubaker] Haubert. She is survived by several cousins.
She graduated from Thompsontown High School in 1945, and attended Millersville and Bloomsburg
colleges.
For many years she worked in the East Salem (PA) Shirt Factory and later worked for Posies and Pretties
flower shop in East Salem.
Peggy was a long-time member of the East Salem United Methodist Church. Early in life, she taught the
primary-aged Sunday School class. She was very active with the Women’s Society of the church.
She was the Den Mother for East Salem’s first Club Scout Den and a member of the Eastern Star.
She loved reading and enjoyed watching television and doing craft projects.
A private interment will be at the Otterbein Church Cemetery in East Salem in Spring 2019.
