Fernando Maniquiz Credo, 88, passed away on September 23, 2026. A beloved and cherished presence in the lives of those who knew him, Fernando will be remembered with gratitude for a life marked by steady devotion, quiet strength, and enduring love. He resided in Chandler, Arizona.
Born on March 25, 1938, in Cabanatuan City, Philippines, Fernando carried with him a deep appreciation for the foundations that shape a life. He earned a B.S. in Accounting from Araullo University, a milestone that reflected his diligence and commitment to building a secure and meaningful future.
Fernando worked as an accounting clerk until his retirement. In that role, he brought care and consistency to the everyday work that so often supports families and communities in unseen but essential ways—an approach that mirrored the dependable, cherished way he showed up for the people he loved.
Fernando is survived by his loving spouse, Elsie Credo. Together they shared 54 beautiful years of marriage, a partnership rooted in devotion and made bright by the simple, lasting joys of a life built side by side. He is also survived by his daughters, Sheilah Phan and Marcia Hugen; and his grandchildren, Aiden and Lucas Phan, and Kaiya and Dylan Hugen.
Fernando was predeceased by his parents, Marciana M. Credo, and Crispin Credo; his sisters, Elenita Buenaventura and Lydia Cayetano; and his brothers, Elpidio Credo, Crispin Credo Jr., and Roberto Credo.
A Vigil Service will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3450 W. Ray Rd., Chandler, AZ 85226, on October 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will follow from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
Though Fernando’s passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, his life remains a gift—beloved, cherished, and lasting in the hearts of all who were blessed to share in it.
