Born on September 21, 1937 in Graham, Texas, Fran's family would eventually find their way to Taft, CA where she was raised and would later meet her first husband, Phil and have two daughters, Vicky & Debbie.
Fran had many interests including (but definitely not limited to) the many trips to the Eastern Sierras to fish June & Gull lake with her wonderful husband "Bud", attending Lakers & USC games with her son, Phil as well as the countless hours simply staying at home spending quality time with family and friends. But the one thing Fran was truly passionate about was her time spent volunteering for the Assistance League of Ventura County. The people she met, the friends she made and helping those who were most in need truly was one of the highlights of my Fran's life.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband Oliver “Bud” Folcke, her parents James and Beulah Bowen, her two daughters, Vicky and Debbie, her son Timmy, her sisters Dee and Margaret and her brother in law, Mark.
Fran is survived by her son, Phillip, her niece Kathy, nephew Steve and great nieces and nephews: Michelle, Christina, Matthew and Shawn. Lastly, a special thank you to Karen & Tori Plueger and Anna Napoles - you all meant so much to Fran.
To honor Fran’s wishes, her family is celebrating her life privately and will not be having a public service. She will be laid to rest at West Side Cemetery District in Taft, CA. The family is grateful for the kindness, support, and compassion shown during this difficult time.
