
Glen William Nash passed on April 27th, at the age of 70. Born October 26, 1955, at Eglin AFB, Okaloosa, Florida to Phyllis and Jule Nash, their first born. A few years later a sister, Linda Whipp joined the Nash family.
His passing as a resident of Thornton, Colorado since 2015.
Glen was married to the love of his life, Barbara Meschede May 10th, 1980. He purchased a home and they both started to build their family.
Glen suffered from polycystic kidney disease. In 1998, His sister-in-law, Fran Carey, gave the ultimate sacrifice to save her sister's husband Glen. They both decided to stop this PKD from their generation and elected to adopt. Surviving are their children, Odette Scribner Davis, of Mobile AL., David E. Nash of Gilbert, AZ., and Sara Beth Santiago of Phoenix. Together they gave Glen and Barbara 3 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Glen was devastated when Barbara passed away April 12, 2014. After Glen tried living in their family home in Show Low, Arizona, he was extremely heartbroken and moved to Denver, CO, in 2015. Glen's Father Jule was Air Force from 1956 - 1962, which relocated Glen and his Sister Linda from Fort Walton Beach, Florida, California, Nellis Air Force Las Vegas Nevada and finally settled when retired in Phoenix Arizona. Glen acquired many Air Force Families, which grew close together and still remain as brother's & sister's. He chose Denver for this reason.
January 6th, 2016, Glen met Janice Vargas-Tafoya, after a short courtship, engaged in June and married September 4th. Glen often said way too often that he was blessed by having a second wife who love and adored him. Glen was an avid Golfer, learning from his father and uncle's at the age of 7. His part-time jobs in high-school was working on the course or the clubhouse. He definitely had a love for the game. Glen met and made many golf buddies which kept him active. Glen protected and gave his all and all to keep the 'Vargas' family home as a legacy. Janice's family grew to Love and was happy to witness knowing their mother was well cared and taken care of. Together They enjoyed traveling, cruising, maintaining their home, created an amazing backyard Oasis. Glen introduced country to Janice and in return she introduced Motown to Glen, which in return several concerts. Glen is survived by Janice Nash, who is deeply heart broken, his stepchildren, Bobby Vargas, Veronica & Chris Eddlemon, and Ricky & Amy Vargas, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Glen was A transplant kidney survivor of 27+ years, a small female kidney in a male body, thanks to Fran Carey. He knew he was granted more years than expected. He was extremely thankful and wouldn't go back on the waiting list nor accept dialysis again. Glen was a member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, he felt it would be selfish of him to accept another transplant as they're younger people who could receive the 27+ years that he was gifted. He was just being Glen. Glen succumb to his kidney failure and is at Peace no longer in Pain. Our Holy Spirit rescued him on Monday April 27th. Glen
