Pat, your Mom, Grace, set a wonderful example for all of us in her faith, her love of family, and her generous and good heart.  My appreciation goes to you and your family for sharing so many special moments in Grace's life and particularly showing us how she lived her life in such a positive and inspirational way. So Sorry  to here about your mom, Larry sends his regards sounds like she was a wonderful lady, know  she is an angel looking down on all of us , she is wwith my granddaughter who passed away a month ago , she was only 15  i'm sure your mom is taking her under her wing love and prayers

I am so happy Gordy & I got to spend time with my Aunt Grace before she passed on to heaven, to be with her Jesus and her family who have gone before her.  She was loved by many and the times we shared together will always be with us.  The whole family is in our thoughts and prayers.

     There is so much to say about mom, and so little time to say it. I lived with Mom & Dad most all my life when I bought my house in 1981 they moved in with me.   
    After Dad passed away in 1999 Mom & I would go on vacation back east to see her family & Friends. When Al & I got married in 2005, the first 4 years Mom would go back with us for 3 months of the summer. On our way home we would spend a week in Branson Mo. And go to 3 to 4 shows a day. She loved going there. She loved music of all kinds but most of all her gospel songs.  For the last 3 years mom was not able to travel. The last few years Scott & I would take her for walks around the lakes in her wheelchair, she loved to see the ducks.  
      Mom wrote a poem for her mom for Mother's Day in 1943 titled “Our Mom” although she wrote it for her mom it also fits our mom. A quote from her poem: “Our Mom is liked by everyone, By friends who come around. ‘Cause they just hate to say good-by, For she's the best in town.” Anyone who knew mom knows she loved having people over. I worked at Motorola and once a month Mom would make lunch for 6 to 10 of my co-workers. Only a few months she told me I had to make lunch ‘cause the Motorola group were coming that day. Mom always had company at the house, I called them “her people”. One day we had to leave the front door open ‘cause “her people” were coming to visit with her. There was a man who was hurt and could not walk any further and asked Al, because he was strong, would he out and carry him in, so he went out and pretended to carry someone and put them on the couch. Some of people we had in our home were Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers, Fred MacMurray and his family, Deanna Durbin, & Shirley Temple, also her family & friends from the church. Although you where not here in person you were all here in her thoughts & mind. She would hear me in the kitchen and call out to me, “I got Bill here, Pat is that OK?” I would say “Yes, mama that OK.” 
     Another quote from her poem, “We like to be around her, For she comforts us in ways. All grown-up we are just now, But we love her more each day.”  The last few years Mom would thank me for taking such good care of her. One day after I gave her her bath, she sat on the edge of her bed so I could dress her. After putting on her socks I straighten up ‘cause my back hurt so much. She said, “You didn't put my shoes on, Pat I want my shoes on!” I told her my back hurt to give me just a minute, and she patted the bed next to her and said, “Sit her Patty” she rubbed my back right where it hurt. Even though she could not take care of herself she wanted to comfort me. Another time after her bath about a month ago, she was so weak she felled back on the bed laying there she said, “Pat will you go with me? Will you go with me!?” I asked her “Where Mama, where do you want to go?” She said, “I want to go see Jesus.”  I told she could go and I would meet her there. Every night I would give her a kiss on her foreheads and tell her “I love you” she would always say “I love you too, Pat”
     On February 27th 11:00 pm there was a great reunion in heaven. She went to be with her Bill, my dad, my brother, Bill and all her family & friends who went before her.  But Most of all has seen her Jesus face to face.  You will always be remembered, Mama. I love you and I miss you so much. And thank you Scott for helping me so much I could never have done it with out your help.
