Hannah was born in Chicago, Illinois on 11/20/26 to Sarah (Colson) and Joseph Manasse.
Hannah was a member of “Job’s Daughters” a Masonic affiliated youth organization where she served as the Honor Queen and went on to become a member of “The Order of the Eastern Star.”
Hannah married Donald Leroy Webster in November of 1949 and had three children. Donald Lee, William Cole and Sharon Jo. They all moved to Arizona in 1959.
Hannah worked in the medical field from the time she graduated nurses training in 1946 until she retired in 1983. She worked as a surgical nurse, Labor and Delivery Nurse and an industrial Nurse for Motorola and Sears. She retired after 13 years from the Center of Disease Control (CDC) in 1983 as a Nurse Epidemiologist. She worked on outbreaks of Hepatitis and HIV/Aids and the development of a vaccine for both. She also worked with the Indian Health Service and the Indian Health Hospital to implement programs for handling hepatitis and HIV/Aids patients.
Hannah had many accomplishments during her career. At the CDC she was voted Vice President of the U.S. Mexico Border Health Association twice. She co-authored a paper that was published in “The Journal of the American Medical Association” on the outbreaks of Hepatitis in day care centers and how to prevent them.
Hannah and Don retired and moved to Groveland, California where they built a house and lived until Don’s passing in 1998. Hannah then moved back to Arizona where she lived in Chandler.
Hannah enjoyed Bowling, playing Poker and Black Jack in Las Vegas and cruising in her spare time.
Hannah is survived by her daughter: Sharon Clark (Cloyce), Granddaughter: Wendy Webster, Grandson: David Webster, Great Grandson: William Webster, Niece: Linda Higgins, Great Nephew: Andrew Higgins, and her Godson: Terrell Colson (Doris)
Hannah was preceded in death by her husband Don, her 2 sons Donald and William and her brother and sister-in-law John and Virginia Manasse.
A memorial service will be held at Valley of the Sun Funeral Home on September 24th at 11:00 A.M. located at: 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd. Chandler, Arizona. The service will be officiated by Dr. Russell Valentine.
