Harry Albert Dummermuth, 96, returned to the arms of the Lord on May 14, 2014. He was born in York Township, Ohio to Albert and Emily Dummermuth, September 5, 1917. He attended Pleasant Hill School, then worked on his father’s dairy farm. He worked in the coal mines, drove truck, farmed and was a machinist at Shenango Pen Mold in Dover. He married Nellie Lee Graves on February 23, 1935. They moved to Chandler, AZ in 1955 where Harry worked at AZ Agro Chem. His favorite job was as a “Volunteer Fireman”. He was the last living Volunteer firefighter for Chandler. He is preceded in death by his wife Nellie of 77 yrs., his parents and four brothers. He is survived by his sister Helen Randolph of Dover, Ohio. Four daughters: Nancy Wasylik of Dover, Barbara Friese of Anchorage, AK, Judith (Burley) Lane of Show Low, AZ and Suzanne LeGrand of Chandler, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Services will be held on May 20, 2014 at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary at 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd. Chandler. A viewing at 10:00am with services following at 11:00am.
