Hung Quach, age 100, passed away on July 2, 2026. Born on December 31, 1925, in Viet Nam, he lived a long life marked by steadfast resilience, quiet wisdom, and the deep affection of those who knew him. He was a resident of Phoenix, Arizona.
Raised by his parents, Kich Huu Quach and Hai Thi Tran, Hung carried forward the values of family and perseverance that shaped his earliest years. Through a century of change, he remained grounded and steady, offering the kind of measured guidance that is remembered long after words are spoken.
Hung worked most of his life as a farmer in Viet Nam, a vocation that reflected both endurance and devotion—patient work, honest effort, and a daily commitment to providing for those he loved. His life stood as a testament to the dignity of labor and the strength found in constancy.
In 1957, Hung married Duyen Tran, and together they built a family that became the center of his world. He is survived by his spouse, Duyen Tran; his daughters, Lan Huynh, Tuyet Quach, Carolina Nguyen, Ngoc Quach, Wendy Quach, and Truc Quach; and his sons, Wayne Quach, Nghia Quach, and Su Quach.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Victoria Av, Alexandra Striemer, Robert Quach, Michelle Quach, Davie Quach, Ryan Quach, Jenny Quach, Khang Quach, Karen Quach, Eric Huynh, Jacqueline Huynh, Richard Huynh, Keene Nguyen, Aaron Nguyen, Steven Nguyen, Sarah Nguyen, Sabrina Nguyen, Tiffany Dinh, Stephanie Dinh, Brittany Dinh, Saranna Tran, Helen Tran, Emily Tran, Ted Nguyen, and Tina Nguyen; and by his great-grandchildren: Darian Av, Dean Av, Grayson Quach, Quinn Quach, Emmy Quach, Jasper Nguyen, Olivia Striemer, and Noelle Striemer.
Hung is further survived by his sisters, Anh Quach and Hoa Quach; and his brothers, Long Quach, Hoa Quach, Khanh Quach, Hoang Quach, and Tuan Quach. Other family members include Minh Quoc Truong, Chau Tu Truong, and Ut Truong. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lan Quach, and his brother, Hon Quach.
In his personal life, Hung found meaning in simple, sustaining joys—exercise and walking, watching soccer, playing guitar, boat building, gardening, and, above all, spending time with family. In these everyday rhythms, his love was most clearly felt: steady, present, and enduring.
