James Robert Ashworth II, of Tempe Arizona was received in the loving arms of the Lord on July 2, 2020 at the age of 84. He was surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Framingham, Massachusetts. His parents were James and Marjorie (Chisholm) Ashworth.
James served honorably in the United States Navy, retiring after 21 years, serving in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He was most proud of his service in the Navy. After serving in the Navy, he continued his career in communications with AT&T. He loved riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle and travelled around the county on it for more than 35 years.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth of Tempe, Arizona, daughters Shevawn Bensik of Beulah, Colorado, Yvonne Ashworth of North Grafton, Massachusetts, Kim Jones of Scotts Valley, California, Karin Hemesath of Overgaard, Arizona, Kai Risley of San Mateo, California, and son James Robert Ashworth III of Mesa, Arizona. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and his beloved service dog, Leia.
