Burr, James "Jim" Richard 91, of Mountain Park Senior Center, Phoenix passed away on March 4, 2014. Jim was born in Dexter, New Mexico. A WWII veteran who served in the Pacific, he graduated from San Jose State University and began his career as a mathematician and computer programmer who worked with the first computers in the early 1950s. He was married to Madelyne Brown in 1960. He is survived by his two children, Marlise and Emil, their spouses and by his four grandchildren, Richard, David, Alexandra and Nicholas. A Celebration of Life will be held for Jim at 1:00pm Thursday, March 6th at Mountain Park Senior Living center located at 4475 E Knox Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85044. All are welcome. Jim will be laid to rest with his wife at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax, Virginia on Monday, March 10, 2014. Flowers can be sent to Fairfax Memorial Cemetery at 9900 Braddock Road
