

James confronted a lengthy terminal cancer diagnosis with dignity, spirituality and never a complaint. He will be remembered for his incredibly gifted mind, for his deep intellect, breadth of knowledge and the ability to share this wisdom.
Cherished personal achievements include the rank of Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow; his service as a member of the US Navy Silent Service. James maintained a perpetual zest for learning, embracing each opportunity. With multiple degrees, he had attended a total of 18 colleges and universities in his lifetime. A true linguaphile, logophile and biliophile.
James' passion prior to his blindness was being a recreational pilot, accumulationg many hours in his log book accompanied by family and friends.
He leaves his wife of 58 years, Jeanette, daughter Kimberly, son-in-law Michael, grandson Christopher, brother Eddie G. and wife Joan, sisters-in-law Joan and Nellie, numerous nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held in Colorado.
