

James Edward Strejc, age 77, died on July 7, 2026. Born on June 7, 1949, in Oak Park, Illinois, James’s life reflected steady purpose and a deep respect for the commitments he chose, from his early training and education through the years that followed. James was a resident of Phoenix, Arizona.
James graduated from high school and completed military training, preparing him for a life shaped by duty and service. He went on to serve in the United States Navy, a chapter of his life that stood as a lasting testament to discipline, resolve, and devotion to country.
A love of music remained a meaningful part of James’s life, offering a familiar source of enjoyment and reflection. Faith and fellowship also held an important place, and James was a member of the Lutheran Missouri Synod.
James is survived by sisters Janet Strejc and Laurie Pranskunas, and niece Jennifer Sarah Pranskunas. James was predeceased by parents James W Strejc and Estella C Strejc (Von Busch), sister Sandy Strejc, and brother Larry Strejc.
Burial will be held at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248, US, on July 15, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
