Jamie Ann (Stephenson) Mathews - age 57, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on January 18, 2013. She was born on April 10, 1955 (Easter Sunday) in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1960, she moved with her family to Arizona where she spent the rest of her life. She married Jay Mathews on November 18, 1984. For many years, she and her husband Jay operated a landscaping business known as "Barbarosa Cactus". She attended Scottsdale High School and Gilbert High School. She is survived by her husband, Jay; father, Donald W. Stephenson, Sr.; mother, Faye Sommerville; brother, Donald W. Stephenson, Jr.; step-mother, Elaine Stephenson; half-sister, Stacey Bray; step-sister, Christy Daum; and step-brother, Mark Ayers. She was a very loving, giving person and a joy to be around. Jamie will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend 10:00 AM Funeral Services on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, AZ. Interment will follow at Valley of the Sun Cemetery.
