

Jeffrey Clinton Lawrence, affectionately known as "Buddha" by his friends, passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on September 21, 1947, in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, Jeff was a man of many talents and a larger-than-life presence who left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Jeff was born in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and pursued higher education at Whitewater University in Whitewater, Wisconsin. His academic journey laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication and service.
From 1968 to 1973, Jeff served honorably in the United States Air Force. During his military career, he played baseball and served as a weather observer, airman, and sergeant in Portugal and at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. His time in the military was a testament to his commitment and strength of character.
Jeff primarily worked in sales and retired as a director of business development for a company, VNE, who manufactured stainless steel components for food processors. This career often had Jeff travelling internationally and throughout the United States.
On September 1, 2006, Jeff married Susan Marie Hauns, with whom he shared a deep connection since 1988. Together, they made their home in Chandler, Arizona, since 2010. Jeff and Susan cherished their summers traveling from Arizona to Wisconsin, a testament to their love for adventure and family ties.
Jeff is survived by his beloved children: Jason (Megan) Lawrence, Angela Lawrence, Katie (Chris) Buss, and Stacey (Mike) Papi. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Sydney (William) Reetz, Ty Lawrence, Aidan Papi, Jakob Winkler, Eban Winkler, and Aleta Buss, as well as his great-grandchildren, William and Sophia Reetz. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
A man of diverse interests, Jeff loved golfing and had homes on golf courses in both Wisconsin and Arizona. He enjoyed walking, eating, and the occasional cocktail, always appreciating good food and wine. His kind-hearted and generous nature endeared him to everyone he met. Jeff was also known for his impeccable spelling skills, often serving as his wife Susan's first resource before consulting a dictionary.
Jeff's humorous and kind-hearted spirit, coupled with his generosity, made him a cherished figure in the lives of his family and friends. His legacy will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
