

Jeffrey Stephen Rendelman passed away on May 26, 2026, at the age of 77 while in hospice care in Chandler, Arizona. Jeff was born on September 27, 1948, at the Naval Hospital in Annapolis, Maryland and was raised in Baltimore. After graduating from high school, Jeff joined the Merchant Marines and traveled throughout Southeast Asia during the Vietnam era. Upon returning home, Jeff began an apprenticeship in the jewelry business, beginning a lifelong career that brought him great pride and fulfillment.
Jeff had many passions in life, including restoring and driving classic cars and Corvettes. He also had a deep love of history, especially Ancient Greek and Egyptian and World War II. He was known for his sharp mind, wit, sarcastic sense of humor, and remarkable knowledge of trivia. Above all, Jeff treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Ellen Rendelman (née Berlin), son Wayde (Megan) Rendelman, daughter Katie (John) Burnham and grandchildren Jacob (Amanda Martin), Alec, Gabby, Nathan, Taryn Rendelman, Madison, Bailey, and Skylar Burnham and great-grandchildren Crew and Ledger Rendelman. He is also survived by his stepsons, Brandon and Keith (Cindy) Buckholz; and their children Aden and Avery Buckholz and Candice Buckholz-Lewis; honorary granddaughter Emma Paterson who considered Jeff her Pop, sister-in-law Frances (Cary) Schectman and her daughter, Shawn Milne with whom Jeff shared a very close relationship, and son Michael (Erica) Milne. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his sons, Duane and Matthew Rendelman, siblings JoAnn Bluth and Gene Rendelman, parents Jules and Dolores Rendelman and his beloved dogs, Meg and Sadie, who brought him unconditional love even during life's most difficult times.
Jeff will be remembered for his kindness and generosity. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The Celebration of Jeff's life will be held in both Arizona and Maryland at a later date.
