Jeremy Wilkins, 46, of Chandler, AZ (previously Michigan) passed away on December 17th, 2021. Jeremy was born in Flint, Michigan on March 30th, 1975, the son of Charlie “Pete” Sr. and Rose Wilkins. He graduated from Bullock Creek High School with the class of 1993.
Jeremy dedicated 23 years of his life to Law Enforcement and was a highly decorated officer. He started his career in 1998 as a reserve officer. He went on to attend the Detroit Police Academy, graduating in 2002. He worked for several departments before joining the Chandler Police Department in 2012. He had many accomplishments throughout his career, including being a member of the SWAT team.
During Jeremy's time in Arizona he met his wife Crystal Wilkins. They were blessed to spend the last 10 years together. Jeremy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Everyone who knew Jeremy, knew his family meant everything to him. He loved them so fiercely, especially the ones who called him “Papa”. When asked to describe Jeremy some things said were, “courageous, funny, loving, superman and “my pillar”.” He was also referred to as a big teddy bear or gentle giant. Jeremy was regularly seen with a smile on his face and a Dunkin’ cold brew in his hand. Michigan always held a special place in his heart. He most enjoyed summer days in Northern Michigan and watching his Michigan sports teams. Jeremy had a heart of gold and a laugh that was contagious.
