Jeritta Kay Taylor, 75, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 22, 2026, in Arizona. She was born on July 27, 1951, in Iowa, to Mary Moberg and Don Wester Sr.
Jeritta's greatest joy was her family. She and Paul shared 54 years of marriage, and together they built a home full of love. As a devoted stay-at-home mom, she poured her heart into raising her children, Melissa and Paul. Her love didn't stop there: she helped raise her granddaughters, Madison and Sarah, and later her great-grandson, Jaxon. To them she was a constant source of comfort, laughter, and care.
Her faith in Jesus was the foundation of her life, and it showed in the gentle, generous way she loved the people around her.
Jeritta was wonderfully creative. She was a gifted singer, artist, and seamstress, and she found peace in puzzles and coloring. She adored animals, collected stuffed animals, and never passed up a good shopping trip. Anyone who knew her knew that purple was her color. She loved old movies, and she cherished photographs, both taking them and spending hours looking back through them, treasuring every memory they held.
She also had a playful, adventurous spirit. Disneyland was one of her happiest places, and she never lost her love for a thrilling roller coaster ride.
Jeritta is lovingly remembered by her husband of 54 years, Paul Edward Taylor; her daughter, Melissa Renee Brassow; her son, Paul David Taylor; her granddaughters, Madison Zajicek and Sarah Brassow; her great-grandson, Jaxon Zajicek; her dear siblings Regina Stapley, Gina Orozco, Kary Wilson, Don Wester, and Roy Wester; and her best friend Marcia Helding.
Her love, her laughter, and her beautiful spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We take comfort in knowing she is rejoicing with Jesus.
