Jing Lao

On October 13, 2026, our family lost a remarkable man — a devoted father, grandfather, and friend — at the age of 77. He lived his life with an open heart and an open door, always ready for a good conversation, a shared laugh, or a new adventure.

He was endlessly outgoing, the kind of person who could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel instantly at ease. Whether chatting with neighbors, meeting new faces on his travels, or simply enjoying time with friends, he carried a natural warmth that made people gravitate toward him.

Traveling was one of his greatest joys. He loved exploring new places, learning from the people he met, and collecting stories along the way. But no matter where he went, his heart was always anchored at home with his family. He cherished them deeply, and his two young grandchildren were the brightest lights in his life. Their laughter, curiosity, and energy brought him endless happiness, and he embraced every moment he spent with them.

He found peace and purpose outdoors — jogging, walking, or simply taking in the beauty of nature. Being outside gave him a sense of freedom and connection that matched his spirited personality.

He leaves behind a family who adored him, friends who will miss his easy smile and generous spirit, and a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and love.
