Joanne will be remembered for her love of dance, her many years of service to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the African American Association of Sun Lakes, to her students from over 30 years of teaching and to the many friends she had all over the world. She will be dearly missed by her bingo club.
She is survived by her children, Joellyn, Carlton,and Marilee, her daughter-in-law, Sarah, and her grandchildren Erica, Halle, Bill and Michael.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the Valley of the Sun Funeral Home, 10940 Chandler Heights Blvd, Chandler, AZ.
