He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on January 10, 1945. Joe graduated from Wichita Falls High School. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and camping.
Joe was survived by his children Julie Valadez (Phoenix, AZ), Jody Valadez and step-son, George Lopez (Wichita Falls, TX); 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; his siblings Leo Valadez (Phoenix, AZ), Irene Martinez (Wichita Falls, TX) and Jesse Valadez ( Wichita Falls, TX); and preceded in death by Stella Solis.
