John Robert Jankovich

John Robert Jankovich entered the loving arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, February 8. John was born in Stamford, CT on July 31, 1944 to the late John C. Jankovich and Virginia Lockwood Jankovich. He was a graduate of Stamford Catholic High School and Norwalk College. He retired in 1999 after 31 years with Consolidated Freightways where he was a Division Manager. Prior to moving to Sun Lakes, he and his wife made their home in Brentwood, Tennessee. He was a member of Phoenix First Assembly of God. John was preceded in death by his step daughter, Lynette Lanier. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Faye, his son and wife, Jay and Andrea, his step daughter, Donna Head, his step son and wife, Ricky and Angie Lanier, his loving grandchildren, Ryan, Alexia, Natalie, and Olivia, and his closest friends whose support and love have been invaluable during his long battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, February 18 at 11:00 in the chapel at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ. Immediately following the memorial service, a luncheon will be held in the Friendship Room at Sun Lakes Country Club.
