

June Louise Donley, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026, in Gilbert, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, John Wilbert Donley. June is survived by her stepdaughters, Kathleen Beneski and Stephanie Donley, and her granddaughter, Sophia Beneski.
June was born on November 29, 1936, in Wytheville, Virginia. She proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1960. Her military service reflected the dedication and quiet strength that characterized her throughout her life. Following her military service, she enjoyed a rewarding career as a dental assistant, dedicating approximately 25 years to caring for others.
June's greatest passion was quilting. Her award-winning quilts were works of art, lovingly handcrafted and treasured by family, friends, and fellow quilters. Through every stitch, she created lasting expressions of beauty, warmth, and love. June also loved to travel and, alongside her husband John, explored many parts of the world throughout their years together. Music and dancing brought her great joy, and she embraced life with warmth, creativity, and an adventurous spirit.
A private funeral service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery in Chandler, Arizona.
