

Justin F. Marino, 78, originally from Chicago, IL, passed away on August 7th, 2012, with his sons, daughter-in-law, and companion at his side and with the love of his grandchildren surrounding him. Justin was an educator and passionate about the development and opportunities of individuals with mental and physical disabilities. Other interests that gave him great joy were exchanging stories with his cousins, friends, and former school mates. Justin is survived by his two sons, Matthew L. Marino of Chandler, AZ; Christopher Marino of Ahwatukee (Phoenix), AZ; companion Ray Fisher of Casa Grande, AZ; six grandchildren, Lynlea, Justin Thomas, Cassie, Eva, Raquel, and Sophia; three nieces and a nephew in Chicago. He got his first taste of Arizona from a trip he took with his parents on Route 66. His desire for Arizona grew when he was stationed at Fort Huachuca during his military service after he was graduated from Carthage College in Carthage, IL. After starting his career and family back in Chicago, he took a leap of faith in 1970 returning with his young family to Arizona by accepting a position with the State of Arizona in Coolidge. Throughout his life in Arizona, Justin dedicated his passion for education into adult education for the disabled. Most recently he volunteered his time at the Veteran’s Administration and the Casa Grande City Council. He will be greatly missed by his dear friends, cousins, and family. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17 2012 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, Chandler, AZ. with a Farewell Service at 2:00 p.m.
