I just learned of Kristen’s passing. I went to high school with Kristen and play softball with her for many years. My condolences to her family. 


I grew up in Davis with Kristen, playing multiple sports with her from elementary school (with our dads coaching)- well into high school as well. We kept in touch after college via social media and through our families, particularly because we had kids almost the same age. I have so many great memories of Kristen and her family. I am sending all my love during this time. I’m so sorry to for this tremendous loss. 

I'd only known Kristen for about 2 years, and she became one of the most influential and positive people in my life.  I was so lucky to have known her for the short period I did. Really, it felt like I'd known her for a life time.  That's the impact she had on everyone she met.  She made you feel like the most important person and she always made sure that she did everything in her power to make people feel special.  She was an incredible person and will be so missed.  Thank you Kristen for being the kind soul you are and making our world a better place.  

Dear John, Micki & the entire family:
We are grieving with you and send our love. So many happy memories as kids - splashing around in your backyard pool, and hanging out at Sea Ranch on the Swanson-Schmatjen combined family trips. (I think I may have even babysat for your family once or twice.) We are blessed with such a long and rich relationship with all of you, and our hearts are breaking with you. Kristen was an amazing woman, and she will be missed.

We watched this lively little girl grow up into a beautiful and caring daughter, wife and mother. She definitely lit up a room and we always loved seeing her. 
We send our  prayers and comfort to all of Kristen’s family.

Kristen was truly such a bright light in this world. I feel so grateful to have had her in my life these past 5 years working with her. She was always there for anyone, at any time. Illuminating every room she was in with beams of optimism, compassion, and kindness radiating out of her. It was real hard to have a bad day with her there. And if she was having a bad day? You’d never know it. I will always hold a piece of her spirit with me & try my best to carry on the goodness she poured into this world. ❤️

She had such a passion for what she did. I always loved going into the back office & sharing with her what amazing milestones my kiddos were meeting. Or even going back to vent about a rough one haha. I will miss her dearly. 🤍

It seems like only yesterday when this bubbly young lady lit up the room with that infectous smile.  We will all keep her in our heart through all the wonderful memories.
May the Lord provide Peace and understanding to Kristen's family and friends and may they feel his never ending Love.

Oh how lucky we all were to know such a beautiful soul. Kristen was always the brightest light in the room. I had the pleasure of working for Kristen for almost 4 years and became very close with her very quickly. She was always so good at being a GOOD person, always and having everyone else’s best interest at heart. Kristen and I shared a lot of things in common, one of the most important was our love for those dang gluten free chicken tenders at the restaurant across the street from work. She was the person that you could go to with anything and she would listen and make you feel heard and cared for every time. She always made it a point to celebrate everyone any way she could. Kristen had such a deep love for her work, her team, her friends and especially her family. I still cannot believe this loss… but I feel it so deeply because Kristen made that big of an impact on me in the short few years I’ve known her. My heart will be forever grateful for that time. Rest easy my sweet friend. 

I was so lucky to have had Kristen in my life. She was the kindest and most comforting person and I was lucky enough to have her join me at my wedding as well as spending 5 years working together helping kids meet their therapy goals. I will never forget all the gluten free chicken tender and Dutch Bros tea runs that we had at work, or watching her comfort anyone near her with her positivity and her ability to find good in any situation. 🤍 I will miss her terribly and cherish all of the fun memories we shared together. So many people, including ones that weren’t even aware of it, were so positively impacted by having her in their lives. 🤍
