All the beautiful memories I have of Uncle Larry, my God Father will forever be in my heart, everytime I think of him I see him doing a cannonball in our pool, such beautiful memories,  I will miss you Uncle Larry ❤

Uncle Larry was a lifeline to that side of the family. He always tried to include me in all the family functions. I loved him for that an for being such a good person .i never thought about losing you but here we are .i love you and me and my family will miss you terribly .

I am so sad that I won't see my brother on this earth again.  But also so happy for him to be reunited with the members of our family that went before him.....what a celebration that must be. Kind of gives new meaning to Stolat!  Larry was a good big brother and kind man. I'm glad he and Patricia had such a loving marriage. They both were very deserving of each other.  He will be missed greatly and I'm sure he will watch over us all.  

Larry will be missed very much. I would come to visit from Las Vegas,  he would always make me his famous breakfast with grits. Im going to miss that.  His loved for my sister was impeccable and They were inseparable.  Know love will ever be like the love they had for each other. 

I always looked forward to seeing Uncle Larry whenever we went to the Busia Family picnics.  He could make you feel like you had spoken just yesterday, even if you had not seen each other in years.  His crazy sense of humor and love of family will always be the things I remember about him.  I think that the level of sadness that we feel having lost him is equaled by the joy felt up in Heaven by the family we have lost who are now reuniting with him.  Love you much, Uncle Larry.

I wish to posthumously thank Larry for the time he spent on the RCIA Team at St. Luke in Smyrna, TN, many years ago.

March 27, 2021  - A week ago today I spoke with Larry and we reminisced about his past. We talked about how he met Helen, which was a set-up.  He was in one of the Carolinas and said 3 of  his friends and him were looking for something to do and they saw these 4 girls hanging around where they were and the guys "picked them up".  Helen sat on Larry's lap in the back seat and they got to talking and Helen gave Larry her phone number.  He lost the phone number but luckily he went back to where they first met and got her phone number again and the rest is history.  We talked about the time when he was in the service and was stationed in Paris.  The base there had to be closed down and it took a little more than 2 years.  The whole time he was there he never left the base except to buy liquor.  There was a guy who would set just outside of the base gates and he would sell alcohol to the servicemen.  He said he stayed drunk the whole time he wasn't on duty.  We talked about mom's cooking.  He happened to be having stuffed bell peppers for dinner that night, just one.  He said nothing compared to mom's stuffed peppers or her beef stroganoff, swiss steak, dinner rolls and poppy seed cake.  When he was at the first hospital he said they kept feeding him rice and chicken, rice and chicken rice and chicken. He said he did not like rice unless Patricia made it.  I asked him how she prepared it and he said he didn't know but it was good.    We also talked about the time mom was upset with him and giving him a way to go.  Larry was already taller than mom at that time so mom had to look up to him to yell at him so he picked her up by the elbows so they could be eye to eye.  He laughed about that for a bit.  Love you and miss you brother.

Unc Lar Lar was something special! I am grateful for the times I was able to visit him and my Aunt Pat.  He always made me feel welcomed and loved coffee as much as me. :) I loved the way he loved my Aunt and his extended family so much. He is going to missed but never forgotten. Rest well Uncle Larry! ❤

I would call the house to speak with Patricia. Larry would answer the phone if she was not available. It was always good morning miss lilly.  And I would say good morning Mr Larry.I’m doing my “honey do list”. It’s Monday you know. He would proceed to tell me what was on the list. While I was laughing. When he was finished , I would tell him he would be okay. He would laugh and tell me not to tell my sister that. Because she would add to the list. We would say good bye laughing. That will always be a special memory for me.

Uncle Larry was always someone I could count on for honest straight forward answers to any questions I had, he was also the inspiration for my joining the U.S. Air Force when I graduated from High School. 

Larry and I go back to 8th grade at Sacred Heart School in Lombard Illinois. We shared many teen adventures  before going our separate ways in the military and beyond. Larry and I have stayed in touch over the years and more recently had fun reliving many of our both humerous and heartfelt  memories. I am so thankful to have known and shared life with Larry and his family.
I know his faith sustained him and serves him still.

I remember Larry from his Tennessee days. He had at one time been active in the charismatic renewal as was I. I remember his vivid sense of humor and enjoyed being around him.
