Lois was born on January 5th 1927 to Edward and Beulah West in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the eldest of four children. Her sibling’s, are Jacqueline, Gerald and Patricia Ann. She graduated from Ben Davis High School in May of 1944.
She moved to the Phoenix, Arizona metropolitan area in February of 1958, where she lived until her death.
Six children, Cheryl E. Quammen, Dennis E. Pebbles, Michael E. Pebbles, Barbara E. Pounds, Eric L. Schardt, and Erin Hutchison survive her. Lois has fourteen Grandchildren and Eleven Great-grandchildren. She was also blessed with Three Great-great-grandchildren.
Lois retired from AT&T and worked as a long distance operator for Pacific Bell.
She was very active in the church and was extremely generous with a multitude of religious organizations.
She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in June of 2005
Her memorial will be held at the Valley Of The Sun Mortuary & Cemetery located at 10940 East Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona on Sunday October 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
