Loren Papa Emmett Mead

Loren Emmett Mead ("Papa"), 79, of Sun Lakes, Arizona passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015. Loren was born on August 29, 1935 in Gallatin, Missouri to George and Flossie Mead. He worked as a Detail Engineer in the steel industry. Loren has lived in Arizona for the last 12 years. He is survived by his sister Lucille, daughter Jacqueline P (Rodney) Hansen, son Scott E (Jo) Page, grandson Ronald K Hansen, grandson Jeffrey J (Merle) Jenkins, granddaughter Jennifer D (Daniel) Nilsen, great-grandchildren Christian M Hansen, William K Hansen, Vanessa M Jenkins, Brandon M Jenkins, Jeffrey R Jenkins Jr., Megan G Hansen, Alexis H Nilsen, Taelynn P Nilsen, and three great-great-grandchildren (Ryker, Cayne and Aria). Loren is preceded in death by his seven brothers (Bill, Wayne, Charles, Robert, Don, George and Jim) and wife, Mary E Burbidge. His family and friends will cherish his memory in the days to come, as he touched the lives and hearts of everyone he knew. He will be truly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 12:00 pm at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Rd., Chandler, AZ 85248. Reception will be held immediately following the service at 1:30pm at the residence of Rod & Jacquie Hansen, 16002 S 13th Way, Phoenix, AZ 85048.
