Louis (Louie) George Delci 82, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020, a native of Chandler, AZ born August 8, 1937, to Manuel and Margaret (Villalobos) Delci the eldest of seven children. He was a grade school graduate of St. Mary's Catholic School (1952), Chandler High School (1956) and Arizona State College (1959) with a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for his father in the hay baling business and after graduating from Arizona State College, he spent a few years working and helping his aunt in California. He returned to Arizona to care for his parents and retired from the State of Arizona, Transportation Department, where he worked as a surveyor for 29 years.
His dry sense of humor made him a unique individual, but did not curtail his generosity and love for the family. Not afraid to tackle any job shows in his work around his home. He never met a pallet, wire or fence that couldn't be made into something else. The two pet companions he cared for, Loki and Sabastian, loved his gentle soul. Louie will be truly missed not only by his family, but by everyone who entered into his life, and most especially his many nieces and nephews, that thought the world of him. He is survived by his sisters, Margy, Gloria (Tom) Askland, Carrie (Silver) Valenzuela, Patsi (Cliff) Granger, and brothers, Eddie and Danny (Bonnie) Delci.
A public celebration of Louis' life will he held at a later date.
