Louis was born in West Monroe, Louisiana on February 20, 1974 to Louis and Joyce Knighten.
Louis made his career a CNC programmer and custom kitchen designer. His hobbies were World of Warcraft (Guild Master), EVE (faction owner), storytelling of his past and his family, fishing, traveling, his hair or beard (it varied), and cooking and spending time with his wife, Sonya. He often put others before himself, especially Sonya and his dogs.
Lous had accepted Jesus into his heart and developed a relationship with our Savior. He made becoming a better person his hobby. When Sonya's father was passing, Louis came to her rescue and supported her. He was such a strong member of our family and a huge part of Sonya's life. His death has left our hearts and home forever changed.
Louis is survived by his loving wife of five years, Sonya Ann Richard; one son, Calen Snyder, two daughters, Rebekan Knighten and Destine Knighten; one step-daughter, Victoria Harshman; his father, Louis LeVan Knighten; and his siblings, Deana Morhead (Richard), Belinda Alford "Lou", Janice Price (Jerry), Vick Knighten (Cathy), Sonia Haney, Jackey Knighten, Jeanie Rogers and Art Knighten; his granddaughter rizah'Lynn; and his step-grandchildren, Arianna, James, Dustin, Dyllian, and Fabien Rios. He is predeceased by his mother, Joyce Knighten.
The family would like to give special thanks to Lesley and Debbie at Hospice of the West. The entire team is extremely supportive, but these two ladies have spent hours in the middle of the night working with Louis and his family to get things just right. Your compassion and dedication are beyond measure.
