Lucy May Fleishman

Lucy Fleishman, age 86, of Sun Lakes Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2022. She leaves behind her devoted husband Sanford along with many loving nieces and nephews. Their marriage of 41-years was full of travel, family and a love of animals. Lucy enjoyed her job as Commercial Insurance Account Manager, working until she was past retirement age.

Born in Highland Park Michigan, daughter of Geza and Fric Schinagel, Lucy attended Highland Park High School until her family moved to California, where she attended University of Southern California. Lucy and Stanford met in 1953. They had one of the longest courtships, we laugh about that, and married in 1981! They made their home in Troy, Michigan for 6 years and moved to California for 16 years before they finally settled in Sun Lakes in 2002. Arizona agreed with them, they enjoyed their home and met many wonderful neighbors. Lucy's addiction to word puzzles and reading gave her many hours of pleasure only second to all the animal channels she loved to watch. Her contagious laugh was one of her finest attributes. Lucy will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
