Marcia is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald L. Hinze; her parents, Vincent and Verna Meyer; and her brother, Tom Meyer. She is survived by her three sons and their spouses: Dave (and Tina), Marc (and Hanna), and Dan (and Carmen). Marcia was a devoted grandmother to her twelve grandchildren, listed in birth order: Jakob, Lukas, Lia, James, Gabriel, Nikolas, Damien, Ryan, Thaddeus, Natalie, Miriam, and Pia. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Sheie (and Tim), and her brother, John Meyer (and Anita), as well as nieces and nephews residing in Texas, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
Marcia grew up in Sheboygan, where she met her future husband, Ron. She attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School through eighth grade, continued on to Central High School for grades nine through eleven, and completed her senior year at South High School—proudly graduating as part of its very first class in 1961. Marcia and Ron both went on to attend the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, and they were married in 1964. They lived in Milwaukee, WI, Grafton, WI, Tempe, AZ, and Sun Lakes, AZ.
As a teenager, Marcia enjoyed volunteering at St. Nicholas Hospital. Before having children, she worked as a dental assistant and supported the Waiting Wives club while Ron was in Panama during Vietnam. She was most proud of being a stay-at-home mom, raising her three sons. Marcia was especially loving toward her grandchildren, always telling them how much she loved them every time they visited. She was a lifelong member of Lutheran Churches and dedicated her spiritual life to praying for members of her family.
