Maria Micheline Mondestin

April 6, 1950March 31, 2021

Maria Micheline Mondestin was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and faithful friend. Mrs. Mondestin was born on April 6, 1950, to Maria Milford and MonLouis Saint Louis. Micheline journeyed to her heavenly home on March 31, 2021.

Mrs. Maria Micheline Mondestin was a trained seamstress. She once worked at a factory in Haiti sewing baseballs for the National Baseball League. One day, she decided to get out of her comfort zone to change the future of her family. In 1984, she made the heart-wrenching decision to leave her husband and daughters behind in Haiti to move to America. She came to America determined to make a life for her family. She worked three jobs, sleeping 2-3 hours a day to make sure that she gave them the opportunities that she never had. Her hard work allowed her to later reunite her family.

She was a great wife to her husband of 44 years, Saint Juste Mondestin. She was a great mother to her daughters, Mirlene Hans and Junise Moise. She was a woman of few words but the way she lived her life said more than she could ever say in a sermon. She valued people more than the valuables of this world. She loved others through her actions. She always showed up for others during their times of need. Maria Micheline Mondestin was a woman of great faith. She received many miraculous healings throughout her life that taught her family to believe in the impossible. She enjoyed spending time worshipping, praying, and reading her Bible. She leaves behind a legacy of faith.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Saint Juste Mondestin, the beat of her heart, her two daughters, Mirlene Hans and Junise Moise, her cherished 6 grandchildren, and her wonderful siblings (6 brothers, and 1 sister).

Well done, thou good and faithful servant. Your legacy lives on!

Our fondest memory of Mrs. Maria Mondestin is how she cared for our family with her cooking. We've had the pleasure of eating countless meals by her. The one I (Kendra) remember most was the stew she prepared for me after a miscarriage. It warmed my soul that she would do that for me. We don't have biological family in AZ, but the Moise, Hans and Mondestin family have welcomed us with open arms into theirs. Mrs. Mondestin your smiling face and warm presence will be missed at holiday and family gatherings.

Our deepest love and sympathy,
Daniel & Kendra Tillman
