Maureen "Mo" M. Krol

Maureen "Mo" M. Krol, age 68, of Sun Lakes, Arizona, and formerly of Naperville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. She was born to Michael and Mary (Killoughery) McNulty on December 1, 1953 in Chicago, Illinois.

Mo received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from DePaul University in Chicago and began working for Illinois Bell as an engineer in 1973. She later worked in operations, capital budgets, marketing and regulatory before she retired in 1998. Maureen loved reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and especially traveling to Ireland, where she went twenty times to visit her ancestry homeland. Mo was best known for creativity and intelligence, her inclusiveness and smile-always making people feel welcome, but mostly being a partner to her husband, Michael.

Maureen is survived by her loving husband, Michael; her stepchildren: Robin Lein, Shannon Krol, and Daniel Krol; her grandchildren: Nikolas and Kobe Krol; her siblings: Michael McNulty, Cathy McNulty, Eileen Scholz, John McNulty, Rita Dombrowski, and Joseph McNulty. She also had 8 nephews and 4 nieces; 2 great-nephews and 3 great-nieces.

A celebration of life for Mo will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Valley of the Sun Mortuary & Cemetery, 10940 East Chandler Heights Road, Chandler, Arizona 85248. A celebration of life in Illinois will occur Wednesday, May 25, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones in Naperville Funeral Home, 44 S Mill Street, Naperville, Illinois 60540.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Patrick's Residence, 1400 Brookdale Rd, Naperville, IL 60563.
