

Michael "Mickey" George Baran, a resident of Apache Junction, Arizona, and Carteret, New Jersey, passed away on November 6, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on March 10, 1957, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, Mickey was also raised in Carteret.
Mickey proudly served in the United States Army and later reenlisted in the US National Guard. His dedication to service was further exemplified by his membership in the American Legion.
He was born to John Joseph Baran and Juana Ortiz Camacho, both of whom predeceased him. Mickey is survived by his sisters, Carmen (Antonio) Ruiz, Linda Targia, and Theresa (Jim) Harkins; brother, John (Rhodora) Baran; as well as his longtime companion, Mary Allen. He is also remembered by several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mickey was predeceased by his sister, Maryann Mancini.
Mickey was known for his humorous and brave nature. He had a passion for dancing and country music, and he enjoyed building Legos and models. His presence was always uplifting, and he had a special talent for bringing smiles and laughter to those around him.
Mickey leaves behind a legacy of joy and courage, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Mickey's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery: 10940 E Chandler Heights Rd. Chandler, Arizona 85248.
