From the day that Tasha was originally diagnosed, we agreed to keep Tasha’s illness to ourselves so that she could focus all of her strength and energy on the fight. Tasha was strong, brave and courageous and fought her battle to the very end. Her faith in God, her positive attitude, and her determination to live kept Tasha alive far longer than we ever expected.
Moreover, sweet Tasha was also deeply concerned about upsetting those around her with the severity of her illness. In spite of what Tasha was enduring, Tasha was always willing to reach out to help, support and console others in their time of need.
Tasha has touched the hearts of many people and I know that she will be sincerely missed by those who loved her. I take comfort in the fact that Tasha is now at peace and safe in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus.
Tasha was quietly laid to rest on Wednesday, November 20th at Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery. A few years ago, Tasha accompanied a friend to a funeral at Valley of the Sun and on a rare occasion that Tasha talked about these things, she expressed her desire to be laid to rest there.
Many thanks to Tasha’s friends, her friends at US Foods and other companies she worked with for their continued love and support.
Special thanks to everyone at Ironwood, Banner Hospital Oncology, and other medical facilities who have tenderly cared for Tasha over the past eighteen months. Also thanks to the staff at Valley of the Sun for their help.
Tasha is survived by husband Kevin, her daughter Brie and two brothers, Michael and Ronnie.
