Ninfa Delia Korf, nee Antillon, passed away in Chandler, Arizona on January 8, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Hans Joachim Korf; loving mother of Ninfa Cynthia Milyard (Michael) and Hans Walter Korf; and affectionately devoted to her four granddaughters Ninfita Ann, Katya Anais, Cosette Aria and Melia Adaliz. She was born in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico on May 7, 1938 to the late Moises and Carmen (Prieto) Antillon. She is the last of her siblings to pass away, preceded by Carmen Zubia, Palmita Castaneda, Otilia Becerril, Israel Antillon, Bertha Vargas, Ann Olga Willey, Rodrigo Antillon, Martha Uro, Hilda Monge, and Moises “Chito” Antillon.
Ninfa graduated at 16 years old from Colegio Palmore in Chihuahua City, Chihuahua, Mexico where she also grew up studying ballet at Escuela de Ballet de Chihuahua. She moved to Chicago, IL to study and live with her sister Ann, her brother-in-law the late Alphonse Joya and her nieces and nephews the late Roger, Olga, Hector, John Albert, Nora and the late Alphonse Jr. and graduated from Ericson High School in June, 1958. She continued her studies at Roosevelt University in Chicago and completed the American Studies Program in June, 1959. She then moved to El Paso, Texas to work. While in El Paso, she was naturalized and became a US citizen. She met and fell in love with Hans Joachim Korf. They married January 22, 1966 and moved to Germany. In Germany, Ninfa learned and was proficient in German, her third language. She worked as a dental hygienist while Hans served in the German Air Force and studied Electrical Engineering. Upon his graduation and the end of his service, they returned to El Paso, Texas. Ninfa worked for 30 years for the City of El Paso, Texas, in the Office of Management and Budget. During her time in El Paso, she was involved with both the German and Mexican communities and loved to host and attend many international events and activities. She always loved dancing, exercise classes, swimming, cooking and was tirelessly devoted to her children and family. She was always extremely generous with time and energy with hosting and housing relatives and friends who needed a family and home. She was also active in sponsoring family members to attain their US citizenship. All while being active at Queen of Peace Catholic Church.
Upon retirement in 1999, Ninfa and Hans moved to McKinney, Texas. There they were very active at their Catholic parish. They moved to Chandler, Arizona in 2005. After 39 years of marriage, Hans passed away on September 14, 2005.
Ninfa dedicated her life in Chandler to her daughter, son-in-law and her adored granddaughters. She loved going with her granddaughters to their dance classes and recitals, soccer games, school programs, birthday parties, and simply cooking, feeding, entertaining, and helping them in any way she could help. She also loved socializing and hosting her neighbors, friends, and anyone she befriended.
She will always be remembered as the warm-hearted, friendly, generous, sophisticatedly classy, elegant, caring and loving Omi Ninfa. So very dearly missed!

Graveside Interment will occur Friday, February 9, 2024, 11:30am to 12:30pm, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, AZ 85248
