With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Pablo Munoz, a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who passed away on Sept 15, 2026. Pablo was born in Port La Vaca, TX, and built a life rooted in family and hard work.
He taught his family the value of quiet love, laughter and kindness. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys/Cardinals and Diamondbacks fan. He passed on his sports enthusiasm to all of his kids along with his love for music and dancing. Pablo will be remembered for his steady determination and the safety his family felt in his presence. His memory will live on in the lessons he taught and the perseverance of his soul. A man of few needs and very few words, But loved by all. He will be deeply missed.
Pablo served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959, answering the call of duty with steady resolve and a deep sense of responsibility. He later worked as a Truck Driver For Producers Livestock co., a role that reflected his dependable nature and the quiet pride he took in honest work.
For over 71 years, Pablo shared a devoted marriage with his beloved wife, Sarah Munoz, building a life rooted in enduring commitment and family. He is also survived by his daughters, Patricia Baugus, Gloria Soliz, Joann Cowger, Barbra Munoz, and Bernadette Munoz; and his sons, Pablo Munoz, Oscar Munoz, and John Munoz. He is survived by his grandchildren: Noelle Soliz, Neil Shafer, Alexandra & Pablo Munoz, Banner Sharp, Patrick Baugus, Edward Baugus, Henry Soliz, Mathew Soliz, John Tony Munoz, Michael Munoz, Damien Cowger, and Deena Devine, as well as a countless amount of great grandchildren.
Pablo was preceded in death by his daughter, Sylvia Shafer.
A man of faith, Pablo was a member of the Catholic Church, and his life reflected the values of reverence, constancy, and care for others. In quieter moments, he found joy in music and guitar—simple pleasures that brought warmth and comfort and spoke to the gentle spirit he carried through life.
Pablo will be remembered with respect and gratitude—for his service, his steadfast work, his devotion to Sarah, and the family legacy that continues through generations.
Pablo's services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, with visitation from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by his Celebration of Life at 11:00 am, all services at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 East Chandler Heights Rd, Chandler, Arizona 85248.
